What’s Happening This Week for Fall Fun

Finding Your Fall Family Fun in the Clintonville, Marion, Shawano and surrounding areas

By Marie Vandenberg, Publisher/Editor Macaroni Kid Clintonville, WI September 25, 2021

This has been a very busy month for vendor events.  This weekend is perfect for finding those hidden gems.  Clintonville’s Fall Frenzy, Cruise In’s Fall Fest and Tigerton’s Apple Fest are all happening on Saturday.  It works quite well, just keep heading up Highway 45.  But, don’t stop at Tigerton, why not head to Wittenberg and get stocked up at Nueske’s?  They have your maple syrup, bacon, sausage brats and so much more.  Between those four stops, you should find something for everyone on your holiday gift list.  And, in the event that you don’t, don’t forget about Shawano’s Oktoberfest next weekend!

This is also Bay Beach's last weekend of the summer.  It looks like the weather will cooperate for inexpensive family fun.  In case you haven't made it there yet this year, there have been a few changes.  Not all the rides are open all the time.  If you have a favorite ride, you may want to check Facebook prior to leaving to make sure it's open. The Bay Beach Facebook page is updated each day with ride closures. Remember, if you have any tickets from previous visits, bring them along as they never expire.

So many pumpkin farms are open now.  If you check the calendar, I have the events and activities as current as I was able to find out.  I'm still waiting on info from a couple of farms yet.

I just saw that Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus are having their Porkie Pancake Breakfast this Sunday.  Now, that's a memory that brings me back to my youth.  My mouth is watering already.  I guess I'll have to see if Sacred Hearts is as good as St Al's and how good my memory really is.  We gotta have a great breakfast before we burn off all the energy at Bay Beach, right?

I hope to see many of you during Fall Frenzy this year.  I posted earlier on Facebook, we received our vendor assignments earlier this week, and I will not be in the Kid Zone by the Community Center.  If you went last year, I should be in a similar spot between 7th and 8th Street.  Just a reminder, Main Street will be closing at 6am and will re-open at 3pm.  The 5K will begin at Olen Park at 8am and Fall Frenzy will run from 9am to 2pm.

I want to make sure that you all saw the awesome opportunity Kemp's is offering.  If you happen to purchase Kemp's, you're eligible to enter a local school into a giveaway of between $1000 and $10000.  I know a lot of schools that could use that extra money.  They are only running this giveaway in a few select states so our chances are fairly decent.

Be sure to check the main calendar for the full list of events and check back frequently as events are being added all the time.  The fastest way to get to the top of my to-do list is to submit your event directly to my calendar.  It's always free to be included. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.  E-mail and messaging my Facebook page are the fastest ways to reach me.
