Welcome to this week's edition! We've had a fairly busy week here. On Monday, we decided to randomly select one subscriber to get a special gift for Random Act of Kindness Day. There was no sign-up or major announcement and the winner hasn't claimed her prize yet, so check your inboxes and spam folders for "An Important Message from Macaroni Kid Clintonville". I also want to give all the new subscribers and followers a warm welcome. I'm glad that you have joined us.
You may have noticed the 2020 Reader Survey. It's something new we're trying this year. I strive very hard to bring you the information that you want to read, that will help you and your families. I could use some input to what you find valuable. Even the types of events you want to see on the calendar will help. It is pretty short because we know that your time is very valuable, and we will never share your information.
Saturday is Leap Day! What will your family be doing to celebrate? Be sure to check out the Leap of Kindness that is being sponsored by the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce. Sunday will be kicking off our Goal Crushing March! Do you have a goal that just needs to be met? Check out the article in this week's newsletter by Macaroni Kid's Macaroni Mama: Joyce. Next week starts Read Across America and it's Dr. Suess's birthday! Check out the calendar for events happening at the libraries all around the area. Events will be getting added daily so check back often. A lot of the schools are also having dress up days as well. Keep an eye on those backpacks! As you are checking out the calendar, take note of the Library Bunch on Tuesday mornings. It's not very often that parents can get a place to gather, enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee with other adults while the kids play with their friends. If the kids decide that they do want to bring home a puzzle, book, audiobook, video or something else- it still won't cost you a penny! How cool is that?! There is also a reading program for the younger readers that allows them to earn a free board book.
Also on the calendar is the Light Up the Night Snowshoe and Ski events at the Navarino Nature Center. I went on a field trip with the 3rd graders on a two-hour snowshoeing event at the Navarino Nature Center. It was so much fun! They have the snowshoes for you to rent, they help make sure that you have the right size and that they are on correctly. They'll guide you and show you so many places you can't access during the warmer seasons. I'm looking forward to taking my family on one of the last two nighttime tours.
