There's something to be said for comfort food when things are going upside down and sideways.  Blount's Family Kitchen has been feeding families on the East Coast for over a century! Being family-owned, they are all-too-familiar with hangry toddlers and constantly-eating teenagers.  They have the perfect arsenal of quick meals to feed even the pickiest palate with 5 delicious flavors.

  • Beef Stroganoff with Noodles
  • Macaroni and Beef in Tomato Sauce
  • Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo with Penne
  • Chicken with Noodles in Marsala Wine Sauce
  • Chicken & Noodles

The first time I made them, I was at work. I was so pleasantly surprised that my lunch was super-easy to prepare and ready-to-eat in just 3 minutes! This is really nice for those with a shared microwave- 3 minutes will allow time for everyone to get their meals microwaved and have plenty of time to eat in 30 minutes. The meal containers are compact enough to fit in even the most crowded, shared, work fridge and the meals were filling enough to hold me over for the entire shift and the after-work meeting that day. I was also able to wash the container, bring it home to reuse it for the kids' snacks. It's durable enough to hold carrots, cucumbers or apples and will stack nicely in the cupboard for little hands to grab with no worries of it breaking.

"Woah! I can actually taste the chicken! Wait, there's peas too- and they taste like peas and it's not mushy!" With each bite came more delighted exclamations. I had asked my sister to go into my fridge and make a meal to try while I fed her 2-month old baby. Then my 4-year-old niece came into the room, took a hesitant bite, and tried to walk away with her mom's meal. We narrowly convinced her to stay at the table while she finished all but the last tiny nibblets. There is no tougher critic than a 4-year-old, and the meals passed with flying colors. When my sister headed home, she was already making plans for stocking her own fridge with these meals.  Quality is Blount's highest priority, in fact, Todd Blount is often right there in the kitchen making sure that his family's recipes are being followed precisely. You can taste it in every bite.

You can buy these incredible meals at most Pick-N-Save grocery stores. I used the grocery pick-up option for the first batch of meals that I bought. Then I needed more and went inside at the next store a few days later. They are conveniently located in the refrigerated deli section, near the front of the store. You can also find them at Tadych's EconoFoods in Clintonville, right in front of the deli case. Click here to find a store near you. There is an Ibotta special happening right now too!  You can save $1.00 with the Ibotta app, while promotions last. Save $1.00 on up to 5 meals for a $5.00 total savings.
