Hi Y'all. I just wanted to reintroduce myself to you. Some of you have met me and others- I'm still brand new. I know there's an "About the Publisher" on the website, but I hope this will shed a little more light on the person behind the weekly newsletter and website.
I'm Marie, the publisher of Macaroni KID Clintonville-Shawano-Oconto-Antigo.
- I've been publishing Macaroni KID Clintonville-Shawano-Oconto-Antigo for just over 5 years. Until 9 months ago, it was a slightly different name. You may have heard of Macaroni KID Clintonville WI? Nothing changed except our name.
- My mission and goal with Macaroni KID is to work hard so you don't have to. Family Time should be fun and relaxing. It shouldn't have to be work to find the fun either.
- When my family moved to the Clintonville area, we didn't know anyone. I got lost finding the library for storytime.
- I want to help you find your home within the community. I want you to feel welcome in our community. As we support parents, they become stronger. With strong parents, we get stronger families. When families get stronger, the community gets stronger and when the community is strong, it is unstoppable.
- I want to give you the tools to support your family. There can be a lot of tools in that toolbox. Hopefully, you'll find the ones that work for your family.
- A few years after we moved, my sister and her family moved to the area. They found the area welcoming and a great place to raise her family. You can frequently find the cousins at events together (or helping me host them).
- I love reading. I used to visit libraries all.the.time. When I was in high school, my favorite place to be was in the library. Now I'm a huge fan of Kindle Unlimited and the reading apps through the library. (I don't have to remember when my library books are due back!)
- I graduated from Fox Valley Tech - Twice! I enrolled twenty years apart. In 2003, I graduated with my Associates Degree in Accounting. In 2018, I earned my EMT-B certification. (A few of my classmates were the same age as my oldest!)
- In addition to being your Macaroni KID Clintonville-Shawano-Oconto-Antigo publisher, I am an EMT-Basic for a local ambulance service and I'm in the process of earning my CPR Instructor certification.
- I rent office space in Clintonville during the school day/week. If you stop by the Robbins Nest or Total Fitness inside of Fire & Iron Gathering (the old Clintonville Shopko), you could spot me there.
- I truly enjoy being the one-stop-shop for finding family fun.
